For Manufacturers

Your customers are scanning your products right now.

Not eventually. Today. At the grocery store, in the aisle, before they put your product in their cart — or put it back on the shelf. The Ingredient Project checks US food labels against official banned and restricted ingredient lists from the EU, UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan. When a product contains those ingredients, users see it — and they see what to buy instead. The conversation is already happening. The only question is whether your brand is part of the answer.

For your customers

Gold or Silver certification means you chose to make a cleaner product for the US market, the same way you already do for Europe. That's a story worth telling.

For your brand

Independent verification, not a marketing claim. When a competitor gets shared as a Risky find, your certified product is the alternative consumers see first.

For your bottom line

Brands that move first own the shelf space that comes with it. Founding Certified was built for exactly that.

How it works

Four steps to certified.

01
Apply for the waitlist

Tell us which products you want certified and a little about your brand.

02
We invite you in

Evaluation fee, ingredient list submission, independent lab testing commissioned by TIP — not by you.

03
You receive your result

Pass or fail, you get a detailed report. Pass means your certification number is issued immediately.

04
Annual renewal

We retest every year. Your certification stays current. Your customers stay confident.

Founding Certified

The first brands to certify become Founding Certified.

Founding Certified applications are open. This program is limited — when it closes, standard evaluation fees apply permanently.

Founding Certified brands receive a reduced evaluation fee of $1,500 (standard: $2,500) and permanent recognition as a founding partner of TIP's certification program.

The honest version

TIP is a comparison tool. We take what's on your US label and check it against what's legally banned or restricted in five other countries. Every flag we show traces to a specific government regulatory decision — not a study, not an opinion, not an activist claim. We don't say your ingredients are dangerous. We say other governments have decided not to allow them.

We're not here to shame anyone. We're here because the information exists, it's public, and American consumers deserve to see it. Finding out which ingredients are banned in other countries isn't easy — it takes navigating government regulatory databases across five jurisdictions in three languages. We did that work so your customers don't have to. Now it takes ten seconds and a phone camera.

The companies that certify with us have decided their customers deserve that too.

Fees

Evaluation fees and annual certification fees apply. Annual fees decrease by tier — Gold certified products pay less than Bronze, because cleaner products should cost less to maintain.
